In addition to the official trailer for Not Alone, Illumination’s new original film, Paramount Pictures has just released the trailer for Angry Birds 3, the next installment in the popular film franchise based on the famous video game series. The film adaptation of the video game features a family-oriented storyline, directed by John Rice and written by Thurop Van Orman (“The Powerpuff Girls,” “Adventure Time”), who previously co-directed the previous film with Rice.
The voice cast includes talents such as Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Emma Myers, Rachel Bloom, Walker Scobell, Danny McBride, Marcello Hernández, Tim Robinson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, MrBeast, Salish Matter, Psalm West, Sam Richardson, James Austin Johnson, Lily James, and Keke Palmer. A brief synopsis of the third installment in the animated saga, released by Paramount Pictures, reads: “During the holiday season, an angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet: surviving fatherhood… and saving the world!”
What to Know About Angry Birds 3
You may not know this, but Rice is a veteran of the world of television animation, having directed episodes of “Beavis & Butt-Head,” “Rick & Morty,” and “King of the Hill” (and he was also a character designer for “The Simpsons” in the early ’90s). John Cohen, Dan Chuba, Carla Connor, and Namit Malhotra lead a production team that also includes a number of executive producers, such as Louis Koo, Toru Nakahara, Ben Mattes, Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, Crosby Clyse, Chris Pflug, Simon Hedges, Christopher Milburn, Jamey Heath, Paul Kang, Geneva Wasserman, and Cathy Boxall.
Angry Birds 3 was announced in 2024 and will be released in theaters on December 23; it will be an excellent choice for families with young children, given that at that time we’ll be inundated with films aimed at adult audiences, such as “Avengers: Doomsday,” “Dune: Part 3,” and “Werwulf.”
